Privacy policy

Last updated: April 2026

Yegonota is built on a simple principle: your visitors' data is not ours to keep. Here is exactly what we collect, what we don't, and why.

What we collect

When someone visits a site using Yegonota, we collect:

For click and scroll events (if the site owner has installed the tracking script):

What we don't collect

Session identifier

To count visits accurately, we generate a random identifier when you open a page (for example: k7x9m2p1abc123). This identifier:

Country detection

We use your IP address to look up your approximate country (for example: NL, GR, US). We use a local database provided by MaxMind (GeoLite2) for this lookup. Your IP address is used only for this lookup and is never logged or stored. Only the 2-letter country code is saved (e.g. GR for Greece). Country-level geolocation is approximate — we cannot determine your city or address.

Data retention

How long we keep data depends on the plan of the site owner:

After the retention period, data is permanently deleted.

Third-party services

This product includes GeoLite2 data created by MaxMind, available from maxmind.com. Licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0.

We do not use any other third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
